Walt: think critically about what we read.

Task description: To do this task we had to write what kind of technology changed in the past and the present. We also had to write how long the travel will take, and what things they could be going during the trip.  

Problem Solving

Walt: Understand fractions. 


Task description: To do this task we had to solve the questions that were given to us in this presentation. There was a problem about Tim Tams and Toffee pops. The presentation was about fraction and what fraction has been eaten. After the presentation was finish we had to post it on our blog with a, Title, Labels, Task description and a WALT.

Task description: To do this task we had to do a skittles presentation.

Homemade ice cream

Walt: Make homemade ice cream

As I walked into class I saw some really strange things by the wall. It looked like ice, biscuits, salt, sugar, vanilla essence, milk and a whole bunch of other stuff. I asked Mrs Stickland what is all the ingredients were for and she said we are going to make homemade ice cream. I was really excited.

The first thing that we had to do was pair up with somebody, with only one chromebook. My buddy was Trendy and we used Trendy’s chromebook. Mrs Stickland told as that we had to go on team fours class site and click on Homemade ice cream.

The things that you need to make your ice cream is a big and medium ziplock bag, ½ cup of milk, ¼ teaspoon of vanilla essence, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 8 tablespoons of salt and 2 and a half cups of ice cubes. The last ingredient is 4 biscuits of your choice.

The first thing that you put in is the milk then the sugar and last the vanilla essences. You put all of those ingredients in the medium ziplock bag. In the big ziplock bag you put the ice cubes in it and the salt. Then shake and shake until ready. Enjoy your ice cream.

Task description: To do this task we had to write a set of instructions. We also had to take photos of the instructions. The set of instruction are about  making a canoe, wake or a boat.

Task description: To do this task we had to do a Maori fishing techniques presentation. We had to read multiple texts. After that we had to fill in the presentation.

Walt: Write a Haiku poem using 575

Task description: To do this task we had to write a haiku poem. A haiku poem is a poem using syllables. The syllables that we used was 575.

Task description: To do this task we had to write a 1234 or 5 digit number. My number was a 3 digit number, and was 137. I had to show different ways to show 137.
