Walt: Solve decimal problems

Task description: For this task we had to solve timetables problems. We had to find out the measurement of your foot. My foot was 21 cm long. I had to then x that by 3, that equaled 63. The things that I measured was the Table, then the coffee table. After I finished the presentation I had to post it on my blog.

Picture book writing

Walt: understand information collected from multiple sources.

Chris the Croc was looking around, he seen the earth dying so he sat right back down. He was thinking of a plan to fly outer space.

Chris the Croc found a space shuttle on top of a rock. He counted down 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 Blast off!

What is this planet. Oh it is Mercury the first planet from the sun. It has a hard surface it’s not good for me. It’s too hot for me I can barely even breath. Off to the next planet.

The next planet is what. It’s Venus the second planet from the sun. It appears at night, in the nighttime sky, it shines so bright like a shimmering shining star. It’s the hottest planet in our Solar system. It’s hundreds of degrees don’t you believe me. Och! It burnt my butt. Off to the next planet.

Are we back were back on Earth. Earth is the 3rd planet from the sun. We already know about Earth because we live on Earth. It is the only planet that has life. Off to the next planet.

We are on on what planet. What are we on. Oh it’s Mars the 4th from a sun. Mars is small but not that small kit’s only the 2nd smallest planet in our solar system. Mars has soil and even water. I wonder what grows in that soil. Up comes some carrots and some potatoes. I think that Mars is just alright. Well let’s go look at the rest of the planets, before we decide that Mars is just right. Off we go to the next planet.

What’s this planet it’s a gas giant? I think it’s Jupiter because it’s giant. Jupiters the 5th planet from the sun. I know it’s Jupiter because it’s giant, Jupiters the biggest planet in our solar system. This planets to big it will take hundreds of years just to travel around. Off to the next planet.

Hey this planet has a ring. It surrounds the planet, I think it’s Saturn the 6th from the sun. Saturn’s a gas giant just like Jupiter. Saturn's ring a made a ice and birck. Saturn’s the second largest planet in our solar system. This planet to oval shape it is not my shape. Off to the next planet.

Near the end is Uranus. Uranus is the 7th from the sun. Uranus is white that's not my type. It’s also a gas giant and 3rd largest of all. Ohh, it froze my tongue. I don’t like this planet it’s way to cold. Off to the next planet.

Is this Neptune I think it is. It’s the coldest planet so I know it is. Neptune is the last from the sun. That means it’s the 8th from the sun. Neptune is minus lot’s of degrees. Off we go to the next planet. Oh wait there is no next planet. Off we go back to Earth.

Hey, we're back on Earth. I miss this planet, I miss my family. I afraid to say that we had to get off Earth. We need to move to another planet, but wait I have to perfect planet. Mars, Yes Mars I knew I could remember it, it’s Mars. Off we go to Mars. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, Blast Off!

Walt: Understand information collected from multiple sources.
Task description: For this extra task we had to create our own solar system. We had to use google draw to make/draw this solar system. I used the shapes, poly line and colours. Solar system

Walt: understand information collected from multiple sources.

Task description: For this task we had to write some advice for Gorgon. Gorgon is the funny like alien on all the pages. We had to write to him what is a good planet to live on with a cold climate. We also had to write to him, what is a good planet to hide his spaceship on that is a big planet. Then I had to post it on my blog.

Ordering planets

Walt: think critically about what we read.

Task description: For this task we had make our own solar system. After we made our solar system with the planets in the right order, we had to then label the planets. So the first planet will be Mercury then, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and last Neptune. Last we had to post it on our blog with a Title, Labels, Walt and Task description. Then click publish.
