Walt: make a poster about fun thing we do



Task Description: For this task we had to create a poster about that fun day that we had last week at Rainbows End. My poster doesn't say much but shows words that described our feelings and the awesome day we had. 

Fact or Opinion

Walt: find out what a fact or opinion



Task Description: For this task we had to find out what a fact and opinion is. We also had to put 'fact' or 'opinion' next to something Mrs Tele'a wrote.  

Art Rotations - Mr Wiseman

Walt: draw a 3D face with the guide of a YT video

Task Description: For this task we had to rotate around each class to do each art activity with each teacher. When Rm 3 got to Mr Wiseman's class we practiced how to draw a 3 dimensional face, with the guide of a YT video.

The Tree’s Everlasting life

Walt: write a creative story about one picture 

He was no ordinary one, but also wasn’t the lonely one. This one was the one that had many many friends that care for him and more of himself duplicated around him. He also had a story about his everlasting life.
It all started when a businessman used him as a trash can. As the man was walking past the tree, he had just finished eat a little packet of chips and then he stuffed it in a little hole on the side of the tree. This was the businessman’s daily routine. Until… A old man spots the businessman putting his in the hole and stop him. He tells him to stop doing what he is doing. Also when the old man told him to stop hre told him the story of the tree exactly the same, as the other tree.
Once the businessman heard what happened to the tree when it got used as a trash can by teenagers, he stop and put his rubbish in the bin. From that day on wards the businessman continued putting his rubbish in the bin.

Task description: For this task we had to create a story of 3-4 paragraphs about a tree. Mrs Telea also showed Rm 3 Literacy a song with lyrics about a tree.  

Maths Problem!

WALT:  apply our maths knowledge to a range of concepts

Task description: For this task we had to answer all the question and also write how we worked it out. After that we had to publish it on our blogs with a description about what we did and a WALT. After we publish it we go into the draw to win some very cool prize from Mrs Telea.  

2nd Primary Teacher Strike

WALT: I will read across texts and media to form my own opinion on the current teacher strikes Show the link to the two articles you find.   Comment underneath your link if you think the authors are sharing mostly their opinion or facts on the topic of teacher strikes.  Provide evidence of this. Link: Striking Auckland Teacher Author sharing mostly opinion / fact Evidence of this: She would prefer not to be in a strike situation but pointed out, teachers did not have the chance yet to vote on the last offer, which was made before the strike action was taken. Task description: For this task we had to find an article about the Teachers Strike that had happened for the 2nd time in one year. Then we had to read the article and find evidence to show if the article is mostly opinion or fact. The writer in the article that I chose mostly talks about the opinion that the Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern has.

Creative Writing - ' Headless Horseman's House '

Walt: write a creative story about a house

It was time. Time to the explore the haunted house on top of Blood hill. I've been told many
scary story about this haunted house, but I never believed any of it. Until… I had enough. So
then me and my friend Tupou decided to plan a day to visit the so called ' Headless Horseman
House' on top of Blood Hill.

Once we got to the Horseman’s House we already had felt the feel that everybody else had.
A sad and angry feeling. It also felt like it didn’t want us to investigate the house.

Task description: For this task we had to find a picture of a house an d then write about it. We also had to pear up with a buddy and write together. Me and my partner Tupou chose to write a creative story about a haunted house on top of a hill.

Task description: For this task we had to explain what technique we use in our last writing test in for 2018. The technique we use was called SEE. That stands for S: Statment, E: Explain and E; Example.
