Immersion Assembly

Walt: use adjectives to improve our descriptive writing.

Do you like listening to music? Well today at our school Immersion assembly we had a fun musical time, listening to music and watching some cool videos. I can’t wait for this term to move on.  The topic for this term is Musical Madness.

At assembly today each team got to perform a  item, or share a video. Before each item began Mr Burt and all the other associate principals came together on the stage and performed a song that they had wrote. It was called PES Musical Madness. After they performed Team 1 performed there item. Team 1 was learning how music can make you feel really emotional. They performed a very long item. Team 2 was learning about how they can make there own sounds, and music. There musical item was awesome. Team 3 was learning how they can create a MV ( Music video with different kinds of music, and their own actions. Last team item ( besides team 4 ), is Team 5. Team 5 is learning the same as Team 1, how music makes you feel emotional.

This term Team 4 is focusing on creating our own music, soundtracks and even our own instrumental beats. If we have time we will also get to design and create our own instruments. The Team 4’s movie was all about them showing a fake ad like apple music. The teachers in Team 4 all gathered together in Mr Goodwin’s car and listened to lots of loud music as cruise and switch drivers. Instead of calling it apple music, we called it Pt England music.   

I am really hoping that we could learn how to play different kinds of instruments and listen to different kinds of songs. I really want to make my own instruments and my own songs. I hope we get to learn the school Musical Madness song soon. It’s going to be fun.  

This term I am really looking forward to this term and seeing what other teams have done. I am even more excited to learn what the teacher in Team 4 ( my team ) have put together for all of Team 4. I really hope we get to do something fun at less once to twice a week.  

Task description: For this task we had to write a recount about our school immersion assembly on Monday 16th October 2017. This recount to to get us ready for our big writing test, in less than 3 to 2 weeks.
