Once we got to the Horseman’s House we already had felt the feel that everybody else had.
A sad and angry feeling. It also felt like it didn’t want us to investigate the house.

Explanation - Immersion Assemblies At P.E.S
WALT: Review the parts of 'Explanation Writing'
It’s the start of the term and it’s time to find out what our study will be. As usual our teacher’s are playing things down, keep things under wrap so we won’t know until our immersion assembly. Immersion assemblies are the Pt England Way! Let me explain to you in the next 3 paragraphs why we love having immersion assemblies.

( Thanks for the Paragraph MRS TELEA)

Immersion Assembly at Pt England School, means showing and explaining what and why each team has pick what they are going to learn this term. Each team of teachers will have a turn showing and explain what they are going to do this term. As each team acts out there item it gets my mind hooked into this terms topic, which is ‘ Te Wā Toi’.
Another reason why I like Immersion Assemblies is, because the excitement doesn’t just stay in one little spot it spreads around to all the student learners. So as each team of teacher act and show what they are doing for the term, everyone gets excited and is ready to start the term off strong.

The next reason why Pt England students love Immersion Assemblies is that, we all get to see capture ideas of what each team is doing including our own team. As each team performs everyone it really hooked in and listening really well so they can get a head start on what there doing this term.
So there you have it. The 4 reasons as to why we love having immersion assemblies to kick off every term of learning at Pt England School. Maybe you could use this explanation to help you set up something similar in your learning community.
Task Description: For this task we had to write and explanation about our Immersion Assemblies that we have at our school. Mrs Telea also said that it is good for us, because next week we will be doing a explanation for our writing test.

Treasure Map
WALT: transform shapes using reflection, rotation and translation
What are the co-ordinates of these objects?
Castle = (3,2)
Windmill = (6,2)
Trees = (8,4)
Rubbish Bin = (6,4)
Boat = (8,5)
Write down what you can see at the co-ordinates given below:
- (7,5) = Elephant
- (9,5) = Island
- (5,3) = Gate
- (2,3) = Hill
- (7,1) = Tree
- (3,3) = Tower
- (4,2) = Wall
- (1,1) = Octopus
The words can be used in a special way to find the coordinates of the buried treasure. Can you work out where it is:
(X,Y). (EIGHT,TWO) or (x8,y2). Lighthouse
Extension: Could you give directions to the octopus so it can get to the elephant:
Go Up to (1,5)
Then
Across to (7,5) = Elephant
(EIGHT,TWO)
(x8,y2)
Task Description: For this task we had to use the co-ordinates that the teacher has given us.

HIGHEST and BEST JUMPING DOGS!
Walt: write about something on Kiwi Kids News

Task Description: For this task I had to find a article on Kiwi Kids News and write about it in my own words. Above this writing I have written about a article called Dogs Jump Into Record Book. The Brown dog can jump the highest and the black dog can skip for the longest, with a single roe and in double dutch.
