Immersion Assembly

As soon as the bell went I said to and my friend” We need to quickly run to class and line up for a Immersion Assembly”. Walking into the hall  with my class I saw people baking at a table. They were baking pancakes with strawberry jam and whipped cream and cookies with marshmallows inside it like a sandwich. This is because our topic this term is Tinkering Tools and  Toys.

Marching through the aisle of the hall and across the front of the stage came team 5 dressed up as soldiers. Ms Tele’a was holding a chalkboard and a chalk in her hand and she bellowed orders. Mr Wiseman was up first so he step forward briskly and talked in a mans voice about old technologies.

Coming out on the side of the hall came team 2 dressed up in onesies. They were dressed up in onesies because they were acting out Winnie-The-Pooh story. These were the characters, Ms Berry was Eeyore the donkey, Miss Rapold was Winnie the Pooh the bear, Mrs Eadie was Tigger the tiger and the last character is Mrs Nalder who was Piglet the little pink pig.

I am looking forward to learning all our new topic this which is Tinkering Tools and  Toys.

School Picnic.

On a cloudy overcast Friday Point England School went down to the Point. We went down to there to have a picnic.

My favourite activity was the Karaoke because we got to sing on the microphone. While I waited patiently in line for my turn me and my partner talked. Next it suddenly came to me and my partners turn to sing. I was feeling nervous because I had to sing in front of lots of teachers, parent helpers and children. The song I sang was Let it go from Frozen.

My second favourite activity I liked was playing down on the sand. When I got down on the sand I played with some slimy, sticky, gluggy and gooey clay. “Did you know that clay is my favourite thing down on the beach”.

I felt AMAZING because  got to play with my friends.

Easter Eggs

My word cloud about Easter.

Malama Honua

Traveling from Hawaii comes the Hokule’a and the Hikianalia waka. They used traditional navigation methods. They are double hulled. They navigate by using the stars.

The two waka are going on a journey circumnavigating the globe. There voyage is called Malama Honua.

Yesterday there was a special event happening down at Point England beach. The two waka called Hokule’a and the Hikianalia waka came to New Zealand and landed on point england beach. That is why all the 12 Manaiakalani clusters of schools went down to the point.
