On the first turn by the cone there was a huge muddy patch and when I got to that turn all the mud squelching up in between my toes. Then I slipped over on my side and got my school pants muddy while I was running. Getting up I slowly started catching up to my friends and raced past them.

After running past the third cone we finally got into the reserve. While I was running through the reserve all the mud splattered over my back onto my . Suddenly all the girls started catching up to me and zooming past me. With my heart pounding I slowly did steady jogs until I got back into school.

Harold story

In the Life Education caravan with lynn and our friend Harold we were learning all about peoples  feelings. When Lynn was talking to us she told us to partner up and talk about what the feelings mean that was sticked on the wall.

What we were looking at was photos of people that had bad feelings like lonely, disappointed and miserable. Next we looked at photos of people that had happy feelings like surprised, excited and joyful.

When people are feeling sad you can tell that they are sad because of there face and body. If there sad you can help them out asking if they won’t to play with you.

Fire fighters

Firefights do a challenging job to save lives in our country. Whenever there is an emergency they put their safety suits on and  jump in the fire engine and drive to wherever the fire is.

Fire fighters extinguish fires and save cats from danger and heights. When their is a car crash the firefighter can pull open crashed cars and save the people.

Firefighter attend accidents and Rescue people when citizens are in danger. Mostly they save people from fires because there jods main name is firefighter.

Firefighter wear protective clothing so when they go into fires they don’t catch on fire.  Firefighters also wear fire proof clothing and gloves so they can pull people out of the fires.

To become a firefighter you have to be well trained and fit. You also have to be a teamwork and confident if you want to do this job because it’s really hard. You have to be really strong but not
just strong you also have to be brave.

I’m really happy that we have firefighters in our city. without them we won’t be safe at all.

Immersion Assembly

On Monday all of Pt England had an Immersion Assembly. We were there to learn about this terms topic. It was called Trade & Enterpri$e.

Team 2 was my favorite team because they were learning all about my favourite food, ice-cream. Miss Nalder said “ We are going to have a quiz but if you want to answer it you have to put your hands up when Miss Berry blows the whistle.”  When you get it right you get an ice block.

Team 3 was my favourite because they were learning all about what you want to be when you grow up. I want to be a netball coach when I grow up and a Teacher.

Immersion Assembly was great because I got given chocolate money. My wrapping paper colour was pink. I am looking forward to this terms topic Trade and EnterPri$e.

The Switch

Strolling along the road Mr Sam was slurping and licking his fingers. “Oh what is that spot or dot on my tie” said Mr Sam to himself.

Unexpectedly coming out of nowhere a white box hit Mr Sam on the eye. In anger Mr Sam gave an almighty kick on the white box sending it to space.

Glancing around he noticed a towering stack of boxes which were balanced precariously.

Mr Sam saw the sugar cube box. He was trying to push it but it wouldn't budge.

Leaping off the towering stack of boxes he landed  with a huge crash to the ground. Noticing a little red button Mr Sam said to himself “ I wonder what this button does” . Throwing caution to the wind he pressed it.

Marshmallow

You may watch this movie above.
I hope you enjoyed.

On a cloudy starless night Jimmy was roasting marshmallows over a sizzling fire. Jimmy heard the gentle lapping from the lake coming to the shore. The towering trees were surrounding him while he was roasting marshmallows.

While the monster crept up behind Jimmy he made huge stomps. The monster had two yellow and green angry eyes and a darkie green skin color body.

Trying to defend himself Jimmy used his marshmallow on a stick like a sword. Suddenly Jimmy now knew that the monster liked marshmallows because he snatched it out of Jimmy's hand and gobbled it down his throat. Then he transformed into a performing puppy after his first marshmallow. The monster balanced, rolled over and jumped upside down.

Jimmy went fishing in his bag for a marshmallow. He gasped, “Oh no` I only have one more marshmallow left” he thought.

Cautiously Jimmy held out the very last marshmallow in his hand. As soon as the monster saw it he quickly raced to gobble up the last marshmallow with his dirty pink tongue.
Waiting expectantly the monster sat up quickly for his next Marshmallow. At last the monster reverted into a scary monster. Then Jimmy stumbled over a stone and fell down. Jimmy stood up and ran to his tent to hide behind his white pillow.

When the monster saw the pillow he thought that it was a giant marshmallow. So he quickly ran to grab it. The monster ran back to the fire and started to roast the pillow. As soon as he roasted it the pillow quickly turned into ashes.

ANZAC

In the pitch black 1000’s of people including old soldiers went to a Dawn Service at the Auckland Museum. They went in respect and remembrance of all old soldiers that have fought  for our country to make us safe.

Mayor Len Brown recited a poem. Then next he laid a wreath on the monument.

While a man played the last post on the Bugle the crowds gathered together and they stood silently. While he played the sun started to rise and dawn started to break.

Immersion Assembly

As soon as the bell went I said to and my friend” We need to quickly run to class and line up for a Immersion Assembly”. Walking into the hall  with my class I saw people baking at a table. They were baking pancakes with strawberry jam and whipped cream and cookies with marshmallows inside it like a sandwich. This is because our topic this term is Tinkering Tools and  Toys.

Marching through the aisle of the hall and across the front of the stage came team 5 dressed up as soldiers. Ms Tele’a was holding a chalkboard and a chalk in her hand and she bellowed orders. Mr Wiseman was up first so he step forward briskly and talked in a mans voice about old technologies.

Coming out on the side of the hall came team 2 dressed up in onesies. They were dressed up in onesies because they were acting out Winnie-The-Pooh story. These were the characters, Ms Berry was Eeyore the donkey, Miss Rapold was Winnie the Pooh the bear, Mrs Eadie was Tigger the tiger and the last character is Mrs Nalder who was Piglet the little pink pig.

I am looking forward to learning all our new topic this which is Tinkering Tools and  Toys.

School Picnic.

On a cloudy overcast Friday Point England School went down to the Point. We went down to there to have a picnic.

My favourite activity was the Karaoke because we got to sing on the microphone. While I waited patiently in line for my turn me and my partner talked. Next it suddenly came to me and my partners turn to sing. I was feeling nervous because I had to sing in front of lots of teachers, parent helpers and children. The song I sang was Let it go from Frozen.

My second favourite activity I liked was playing down on the sand. When I got down on the sand I played with some slimy, sticky, gluggy and gooey clay. “Did you know that clay is my favourite thing down on the beach”.

I felt AMAZING because  got to play with my friends.
